| UOXPark Now In Limbo? - Updated Friday, Jan 16, 2004, at 07:03 AM Filed Under UOXPARK. -Guid- | ↑ |
Lord Clay Of Aquinas sent me the following:
I'd like to inform you about the post about Kwandobe taking over my site. Yes, this news WAS true until this evening when
Kwandobe decided to be rude to me about transfering it to him NOW rather then finding out why it was taking a bit to get
everything worked out. I felt that since I was planning on GIVING him the site, transfering the files for him, as well as giving
him the site layout, I should not have been disrespected by him in his e-mails. Therefore, because of his actions, I am looking
for someone else to take over the site before the domain name expires, or if this is not possible, then I will be renewing the
domain name and then deciding what I wish to do with the site, whether it be creating a new purpose for that domain name, letting
it sit, or re-incarnating the site, I do not want Kwandobe to be owner of the site.
Kwandobe responded with the following:
I would just like to let everyone know that I should have been informed of the reason it was taking so long and that I will never
do buisness with Mr. Snell(Lord Clay) again and I trust nobody else will either. I was not very rude, he was even more rude in
his email to Smithys Anvil then I ever was and I just feel that it was not very nice to bash on me. I even joined his hosting
company and was going to pay not only half a year in advance but I was promising to stay, at the moment I have withdrawn my
membership to www.fuzzed.net and its sleezy owner(s). Infymus I am sure you have a special relationship with Mr. Snell but I ask
you to please post this message to inform people of this issue.
Of course, then Lord Clay follows up:
I really didn't feel like dragging your site into this "battle" but I don't feel his most recent statement was
even remotely close to the truth. He had no official plans with us as far as hosting goes. As far as the e-mails go, like I said
before, I was giving him the domain name, as well as doing the transfering work on my own, until he became demanding and rude in
his e-mails to me. I'm sure everyone can agree with me that if you are GIVING something to someone, they should not be rude to
you but more along the lines of appreciative, and understanding. As well as I had informed him that I was having difficulties
getting things transfered along with being busy. He had planned to remain with our hosting company (unsure of his payment plan),
because he liked our control panel (Cpanel), and felt our prices were worthy of our services. Also, he sent me an e-mail last
night saying that he no longer wanted to have UOXPark.com, but we had not come up with a way to use his money so I was planning
on returning it anyways. As of right now, 6:37pm EST January 16th his money is returned and his site was taken off of our hosting
servers. I'm sure on a side note, if you were giving smithy's anvil to someone, and they started being rude, you would change
your mind as well. I'm sure that would go for every site owner. It's like if there were a Santa Clause, and he was giving you
presents, and you started bad mouthing the elves and calling Santa fat... guess what... you get a bag of coal. Anyways. I am
sorry your site was submitted to this, and I appologize to anyone who's read this news for their time wasted.
And it goes on... And on... From Kwandobe:
I have informed Lord Clay that I still have the invoice from fuzzed.net(the company he owns) with me being billed for the
uoxpark.com domain lease. I have spoken with a couple of lawyers on the issue and both say that an invoice is a promise such as a
reciept and have been told I could take legal action. I have no idea how the community feels about it, I just know that if adam
has it uoxpark will never be anything more than a husk without any content. If anyone would like to come forward and lease
uoxpark.com it would be my pleasure to step aside and let things be as I do not wish for Lord Clay to own uoxpark.com either.
Then I get told by by Corey Cortez of Fuzzed.net that the Smithys Anvil posted allegation and slander against Fuzzed.Net:
My name is Corey Cortez, and I the owner of Fuzzed.net. I find it completely unnecessary for your site to post allegations and
slander against our Company on your main page. I wish that our name be removed from the site immediately. The issue between Mr.
Lord Clay Of Aquinas and Kwandobe has nothing to do with the hosting services provided, but a domain UOXpark.com. The hosting
services provide to Kwandobe is as stated in our Terms of Service (TOS) and nothing more. No
harm has come against Mr. Kwandobe from the hosting services and therefore do not belong in such a posting. Again if you would
please remove Fuzzed.net from the current dispute much would be appreciated.
I really don't give a shit what's going on between you three parties. The text here was a direct quote from Kwandobe and so it
stays on the Smithys Anvil. Just because I quote something that Kwan says doesn't mean I'm suddenly slandering Fuzzed.Net. But
rest assured this is the last time I'll write concerning the matter as I'm not going to use the SA as a webboard. The three
parties involved
here need to work this out between them. When and if UOXPark changes somewhere else, I'll reflect that change. Meanwhile, the
link to UOXPark as it is will stand on the Smithys Anvil.

| UOXPark Not Closing? Tuesday, Jan 13, 2004, at 06:59 AM Filed Under UOXPARK. -Guid- | ↑ |
Kwandobe sent me the following:
I am afraid not. UOXPark is not closing its doors as long as I am around, you must be wondering who this mysterious person is? I
cannot disclose this information at the time being but you will see. You just let people know that there is a new wheelman for
UOXPark(uoxpark.com) and if you don't believe me, then I suppose you could email Lord Clay of Aquinas and ask. And just in case
this message will be posted to your site I will encourage the fans and fanatics of UOXPark to keep visiting, there will be some
changes in the way things are done here.

| UOXPark Closes Doors Monday, Jan 5, 2004, at 07:52 AM Filed Under UOXPARK. -Guid- | ↑ |
Looks like UOXPark is closing it's doors. From UOXPark:
Well, as most of you have seen UOXPark! has not had changes since well.... a very long time ago. This is due to the fact that I
have grown too busy to run this site on my own, or sometimes at all. Because of that, I am sorry. I let the site slip out of my
mind and never really tried to bring it back to life. Because of this, I am letting UOXPark! expire and not renewing the domain.
To Mr.X and Lord Keel, I am sorry that I will no longer be able to host your site on this domain, although, I will be offering
you a hosting alternative through me, whether it be that I buy a UO domain name and just host your sites, or I branch it off of
my other domains, that will be decided later. The expected date of termination is March 12th. I'm still debating whether I want
to open my library of downloads to the public under an indexed directory so that people can leech it's supply of files.
I will however still stay active in the community. Hopefully still active with UOXClassic as they are the best bunch of
developers out there. But if you've heard any rumors, you may have heard that Brisbane will no longer be using UOXClassic as
their emulator. It's true. Sadly, we felt that everything we needed as well as wanted for Brisbane would be too much work to try
to do, so we are going to RunUO. This is a move that we felt would be better for the server, despite our opinion about the RunUO
community. Their innovation has changed the way we all run our servers. I'd also like to note that we at Brisbane do not feel the
WHOLE RunUO community is bad, but more along the lines of a majority of it's members, and moderators. I am not trying to burn any
bridges, nor am I trying to start any wars, but merely saying goodbye in my own twisted way. New Years are for new things I
suppose.

| UOXPark Updates Monday, Aug 25, 2003, at 06:22 AM Filed Under UOXPARK. -Guid- | ↑ |
From UOXPark:
A new version of UOXClassic was released this week. Version 2.1 which contains much of Cyberspuds UOXC:NS code, was compiled,
tested, and put up for grabs on the UOXC site. It contains many of the previous releases features. I haven't fully tested to see
what exactly has changed, nor have I heard any sort of list regarding the changes. But I will try to find that out ASAP. The
community stays rather thin as most people have not returned. But that hasn't slowed down the dreams of the remaining Dev team.
Along with new members to the community, as well as applicants to work on the team, the emulator is bound to make return. Should
you know anyone that is interested in coding for the team, send them over to the forums over at www.uoxclassic.com and have them
apply or talk to Sargo.

From UOXPark:
Alright, I know I'm slow with updates, but I'm a very busy man. I decided that this week, I will build the download database once
again so that everyone can download. I'll also add in the latest updates of each program in order to help everyone out. Plus I'll
try to get ALL of the different sections completed. On a side note, the Brisbane map is finally entering it's Worldforge stage.
This will probably take about one month to complete this process.

| UOXClassic Slowing Down? Wednesday, Jul 23, 2003, at 06:26 AM Filed Under UOXPARK. -Guid- | ↑ |
From UOXPark:
Personally, I'm not sure. The community has slowed down with the progress of the powerful giant that is RunUO. I'm going to
nickname them the beast of the offline world just because of their ability to draw everyone to it and start taking over so
quickly. But what will become of UOXClassic since Cyberspud left UOXClassic for RunUO? The man nearly rewrote the entire emulator
single handedly, which should be named UOXCyberspud. The staff will need to work 10x as much just to try to do what Cyber did in
his time. Hopefully the current staff (if you can call it that) will be able to hold their ground and push ahead.

| UOXPark Updates Monday, Jun 30, 2003, at 06:20 AM Filed Under UOXPARK. -Guid- | ↑ |
From UOXPark:
Yes I know it's been nearly a month since I last made an update. shhh, don't tell anyone. But I'm really busy with real life. But
I did take some time to add in the forums. I haven't fully changed everything I usually do, but it's at least open for people to
set up accounts on, and start chatting. Also, just to let everyone know, I will be starting to create FULL UOXC installation CDs.
These might be non-official CDs, as I am still in the works of talking to Sargo about all of this, but, let me tell you about
what these CDs will consist of before you start laughing. The CD will consist of the latest UOXC version, configured for a home
network, home login, as well as internet login ability, all you need to do is change the IPs and names. You will also get all the
files required to start the server, such as muls, idx files and whatnot. As well as the best programs to build, run, and setup
your server available. That's not all though, you will also get tutorials for other programs contained within the CD, tips and
tricks on running a server, as well as some useful FREE programs that you may have not thought of using for your server. Not
satisfied yet? Well, I'm not sure what else I could throw in except for a free FTP program, and some useful program trial
installs. These disks will only cost the basic amount of the shipping/packaging fees, that's it. If you'd like to pre-order a CD,
or have any thoughts, please either go on the UOXPark forums and comment, or e-mail me at shepscrook@nc.rr.com

From UOXPark:
Anyways, I'm back in general. I recently picked up a cable ISP so I'm online much more. This does mean that UOXPark! will be
updated on a regular basis. News, links, and all sorts of goodies for you guys. As far as Brisbane goes, we're working on it.
Brisbane also went into hiadis with my move to a warmer climate. Although, after some serious pondering, Leon and I decided to
start Brisbane all over and build an entire new map and everything else. The map, still in drawing stages, is already 10x better
then our previous map. Which had lots of praise anyways.
We're in need of a scripter and hopefully a C++ person and possibly a worldbuilder or two. If you feel you are talented,
dedicated, and knowledgeable, feel free to apply for one of the possitions by emailing me. If you are looking to worldbuild on
Brisbane, please send a few screenshots of preferably a building you've done in process, or upon completion. If you have seen
Brisbane, you know our standards are high, but reachable as you will be working with a great group of people.

From UOXPark:
Alright, I'm sure most people have seen or heard of this already. But I felt I would bring it up just to keep people informed
that UOXC is not fading away. Everyone on the dev team over there has been working hard with figuring out what needs to be done
with the CVS. Sargo is also a very busy man, but he's coming up with some coder guidelines to avoid future problems with the CVS.
Now, the new plan for the coding staff is no longer to implement NEW features such as Age of Shadows items, but instead, they are
working on exterminating all bugs in the server to make it more stable then ever. With this in mind. If you know any bugs that
you have found, please do head over to the forums over there and let them know, the more bugs found means the more bugs
elliminated.

| UOXPark Returns Thursday, Apr 10, 2003, at 06:20 AM Filed Under UOXPARK. -Guid- | ↑ |
UOXPark is back after a long absence:
Woohooo! Finally after a few weeks of being in hiadis, the site is back up and running! What happened some of you might ask? For
those of you that care, here's what happened. I moved from Rhode Island a few weeks ago which created a lot of problems anyways.
Then, during the time that I was moving and not being online often because of being stuck on dial up, the domain name went
expired. BUT nothing could be done about it because the original DNS server of the domain name went bankrupt... So when they sent
out their notice email about the whole deal, I didn't live in RI anymore so my email address was canceled. So the name expired,
and I had to deal with a new DNS, as well as my host's new switch over to a new "user friendly" control panel. Anywho, these
changes in my life as well as to my hosting, and domain service caused everything to be put on hold.

| UOXPark Adds New Forum Section Monday, Feb 17, 2003, at 06:15 AM Filed Under UOXPARK. -Guid- | ↑ |
From UOXPark:
I added in a new section to the forums for sales and trades of computer hardware and equipement. If you like this idea, and know
you constantly go through parts left and right from upgrading your computers, and always have extras of everything, I'm thinking
of setting up a validated seller system or something to that effect. I'm also trying to work out some sort of system where
everyone that posts there has to have an approved address and such. Paypal would work well for that also. Tell everyone!

Posted on the UOXPark website:
Ok, well now that the day is done with all of the eating for me, I think I'm going to look into my files to finish creating my step by step graphical instructions for starting up a UOXClassic server. Plus, I've created a 24mb download for the needed server files so that people can run a server without having to install UO on that computer as I regularly do with my shard when I format my computer. Then, I'll continue on to add RunUO to the site's downloads even though it's in beta stages, I will at least provide a link to their latest achievements, and hopefully finish up a few more of the other emulator pages I have built but not yet completed. This process will take a few days I am sure, but I'll be working on it, rest assured. I don't have much I need to get done in RL as I am on a break/hiadis.
If anyone has any interesting news, please do contact me via the contact us button and I will check it out to possibly post it here. I'm still looking for help with this site so if you know how to make some tutorials for setting up a server, or just tutorials about certain aspects of the UO offline scene, and want a place to post your methods and work, please do contact me. Thank you.

| UOXPark Updates Format Friday, Aug 16, 2002, at 06:52 AM Filed Under UOXPARK. -Guid- | ↑ |
UOXPark has a newly updated website. The header states that they are "Your last
stop for UO emu. downloads".
I'm working what seems to be the wee hours of the morning to get these
pages done, especially the downloads section for everyone to use... I'd also like the
support that people have given us these past few months while we've been on
hiadis with our previous host, and the new one. As well as my busy lifestyle. I already
know what you are about to say... This isn't that great of a layout.. Well, I'm
trying to make the site so that there are smaller graphics files for people to have
to download to view. Oh well. I'm beginning to prefer this smaller file stuff also. Makes
less work for me, and even I with a cable modem notice the difference in load times.
I haven't finished the layout but it will probably look something like this. I am
just getting this up as a working site for people to download from because I've gotten
a few e-mails inquiring when I would have at least the downloads section up. So here ya go.
