After nearly a year long absence, HackersQuest has updated EthernalQuest:
Finally I got some time to made Emu current again.

You can access new zones (that will be available with September release). List of all zone names is available in EqDb package
(EqDb.src/Scriprs/Zones.rb file). Just use #zone command to jump in. Zone connections / doors / monsters are not there yet as I
need to have live servers to collect this information.
Main change: I made EMU more flexible as to adding new functionality into it. Now all functionality can be added (and should be
added) as separate DLL's that will be loaded at emu startup time.
Due to above fact I have to re-implement all features again. Basic ones are already there. Shops, trades, spells, fighting - not.
I will put them when I got some time or when someone decided to help me with it.
Also some # commands may be broken. #spawn command will be replaced with #mob command and most of it's features are not working.
#item, #zone, #goto commands should work fine.
Once again, this project will be slow as long as I am the only one who does anything to it. I am looking for people who has
decent knowledge of C++ to join it's development. Now it is easier then before as you do not even have to touch (modify) other
people code to develop new functionality.
Thanks to the people who still supporting this project. We got over 30000 downloads of the previous release. This is two times
more then eqemu got for the same period.

- bug fix: client was crashing when dealing with packs and books
- bug fix: client was crashing when mobs/players deleted from zone
- bug fix: client was disconnected after you stay in one zone for exteding period of time
- mobs will now follow you when attacked
- /consider should work properly
# new # commands
- #spawn findskill [ skillPattern ] - list all skills that match pattern
- #spawn findlanguage [ laguagePattern ] - list all languages that match pattern
- #spawn skill [skillNameOrIndex [, skillValue]] - show or change skill values (player only)
- #spawn language [languageNameOrIndex [, languageValue]] - show or change language abilities (player only)
- guildmasters will function properly
- you will be able to hit for more then 1 hp. Formula is a bit more real then one posted in forum: STR / 5 + level + [ 0 .. level ] + 2. You will hit for about 80 to 140 at level 60.
- you can now scribe / memorize and cast spells. Do not expect any server side effects. All client side effects should work fine.
- it should be easier to attack something
- Spell viewer/editor is included as part of EMU
- EqDb version 0.3.0003 included

EthernalQuest Version 0.5.1/0.5.2 Alpha Released:
- bug fix: some zone were crashing EMU due to not valid loot data
- support of latest EQ packet formats
- fixed problem with incorrect z pos after disconnecting
- ZoneEditor is included. Currenty it allows to review and setup spawn locations, loot, shop listing and more. Zone you are editing MUST be offline. It WILL NOT work properly when zone you are editing is ONLINE.
- #zone command will check if zone name is correct before sendinf you to a new zone.
- EqDb version 0.2.0008 included

To do this edit file: EqDb/Login/config.

After that restart emu and you should be able to login and play with EMU again.
